GP INTERMODAL HALMEU TERMINAL

The Terminal is located in the Halmeu railway complex, in Halmeu commune, Satu Mare county, near the customs point connecting Romania and Ukraine. The terminal is equipped with:

• 2,040 m of normal gauge railway (1435 mm);
• 610 m railway wide gauge (1520 mm);
• 1,400 m of access roads;
• 1,000 m² of storage space;
• Parking for 10 trucks;
• Weighing facility.

The GP Intermodal Halmeu Terminal provides a wide range of handling services such as:

• Unloading of goods from wagons or vehicles;
• Loading of goods into wagons or vehicles;
• Storage of goods;
• Transshipment of goods from wide gauge wagons (1520 mm) to narrow gauge wagons (1435 mm) or vice versa;
• Transshipment of petroleum products from broad gauge tank wagons to standard gauge tank wagons or road tankers;
• Wagon shunting.

The goods can be handled with the following:

• Forklifts;
• 32-tf Transtainer crane;
• 12.5-tf Portal crane, equipped with a grapple for loose wood material;
• Railway crane EDK 80 for loads up to 20 tf;
• Trestle for transshipment of powdery bulk goods and transshipment of petroleum products, with a capacity of 10 CSI wagons/shift;
• Clamshell bucket for bulk handling.
