GP INTERMODAL CRISTEȘTI JIJIA TERMINAL

The Terminal is located in the town of Cristești Jijia, Iași county, with direct access to D.N. 28, near the future highway that will connect Romania with the Republic of Moldova. The terminal has direct rail access to the CFR Cristești Jijia station which through wide railway of 1520 gauge, makes the connection to Ungheni - the Republic of Moldova.

The GP Intermodal Cristești Jijia Terminal has the following infrastructure elements: an extensive device of railway lines with a length of 1,700 m on broad gauge (1520 mm) and 1,700 m on standard gauge (1435 mm), 2,000 m of access roads and 3,000 m² of storage spaces.

In the Jijia Cristești Terminal, goods can be handled both from motor vehicles and from 1435 mmm and 1520 mm gauge wagons, such as:

• Palletized goods;
• Goods in bonds;
• Bulk goods;
• Liquid petroleum products; Containers.

The Terminal provides a varied range of goods, such as:

• Unloading of goods from wagons or vehicles;
• Loading of goods into wagons or vehicles;
• Transshipment of goods from broad gauge wagons (1520 mm) to normal gauge wagons (1435 mm) or vice versa;
• Transshipment of goods from broad gauge wagons (1520mm) to normal gauge wagons (1435 mm) or vice versa ;
• Storage of goods;
• Wagon shunting.

The goods can be hanndled with the following:

• 20 tf portal crane;
• Forklifts;
• Railway crane EDK 300;
• Transshipment installation for liquid petroleum products;
• Transshipment mobile installation for liquid petroleum products.
